When and how was NCC (National Cadet Corps) established?

how was NCC (National Cadet Corps) established?

The National Cadet Corps was started on 15 July 1948 under the National Cadet Corps Act. It was considered the successor of the University of Officers Training Corps (UOTC). This training corps was started by the British in 1942 during World War II. This academy never lived up to their expectations. For this reason, he made up his mind to start some better schemes. Under this, a target was set to train the youth in a better way even in peacetime. After this, a committee was formed under the chairmanship of Pandit HN Kunzru. On behalf of this committee, it was advised to establish cadet organizations at school and college levels. After this, on 15 July 1948, the Governor-General accepted the National Cadet Corps Act. Thus NCC came into existence.
